Anastasia Beverly Hills; DipBrow Pomade

Every beauty blogger and their aunt raves about Anastasia products. After finding a 15% off voucher for Cult Beauty, I decided to order myself and my sister a few bits.

The first product I added to my basket was the DipBrow Pomade in 'Dark Brown'. I've heard so many good things about this product and have been wanting to buy it for the longest time. I'm always a little dubious buying new products online that I haven't used before; selecting the wrong colour and wasting money really bothers me. Anyway, after doing some research I decided dark brown was the right shade for me, and if that failed at least it would suit my mother.

I can see why everyone raves about the product. It's easy to use if you have a light hand and have been used to using brow products previously. To go with the DipBrow Pomade, I also added the Duo Brow Brush (12). The brush itself is quite long so really easy to use. The first few times using the product can look a little cakey - you need a minimal amount of product! Take your time to play about with it - definitely look on youtube and find the best method that works for you. Remember, not everyone's brows are the same shape; and not all 'styles' of brow will suit everyone. I'd recommended dipping the brush straight into the pot, then wiping either side of the brush on your hand. This not only pushes the bristles closer together to create a thinner, sharper line, but it will also remove any excess product. To the left, you can see my eyebrows in context of my whole face, and below will place a zoomed in photograph of my eyebrows.. Sorry it is not very clear.

What I will say, though, is that you will not achieve defined, crisp brows just by using this product. Although it is extremely good at filling in, defining, and making brows look fabulous, it will not turn slugs into master pieces!! I highly recommended seeing a HD Brow Specialist at least once every 8-9 weeks. This helps choose a brow 'style' that is right for you, as well.

I hope you find this review helpful! What do you use on your brows?
